How long can one wait before making a final decision to sign a contract?

Well thats really up to the facility and the physician.  The people we work with we only allow 5 days after being offerred a contract (unless there are some additional points to go over).  If you interviewed and went to the site then it is only fair that you make your decision so if you are not going to sign they can find someone else, also the state programs are closing and time is getting critical.

Any longer than a week is not fair to the facility, then they realize you are just shopping around the contract, continuing to interview and only would go there if something better is not coming through.  And honestly, you should know immediatly after your site visit if you want to go there, and if there is some things in the contract you need changed or want changed you should be discussing them to negotiate those changes and then move forward.  If not, be honest with them so they can offer the job to another candidate.
